Premier Private Jets is thrilled to share that Karlyn Leth, Charter Sales and Revenue Manager, has recently completed the Women in Leadership: Program for Emerging Leaders at Harvard University. As a third generation pilot and Women in Aviation International (WAI) member since 2008, Karlyn was one of thirty women selected from thousands of applicants across 6 different countries. Her commitment and passion for aviation is reflected in her work both with Premier and WAI. We are proud to support Karlyn in her professional development and congratulate her on this incredible achievement.
Elevating Women In Aviation
With only 10% of pilots and 29% of non-pilot aviation roles held by women, WAI strives to provide a strong network of resources to grow leaders in aviation now and in the future. Karlyn’s efforts mirror this initiative, having started a local WAI chapter in Massachusetts in 2021 to inspire local youth in their aviation aspirations.
About The Program
The three-day intensive, on-campus program hosted by WAI and conducted by Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education provides professional development to support the advancement of women into leadership roles in aviation. The program aspires to elevate women in key roles, grow the talent pool and increase access to the innovation, creativity, and risk management that more diverse leadership provides.
In the program, Karlyn learned from industry-leading professors and fellow classmates about experiences as a woman in aviation. She explored skill development to advance her career and help her team while encouraging others to get into aviation. “My biggest takeaway from this experience was the ability to explore and develop my personal leadership style and take the knowledge and skills I learned to be more confident as a women leader in the aviation industry,” says Karlyn Leth.

Key Takeaways
As Charter Sales and Revenue Manager, Karlyn felt empowered to encourage the growth of her team with key takeaways from the program. “Communication and negotiation are two of the top things the team is doing daily with vendors and upper management,” says Karlyn. “Strategy is huge for how we are going to grow our charter business and partnerships are a key element to developing long term relationships with vendors and customers that we use.”
Premier is committed to providing the very best in aviation and much of our reputation comes from the remarkable efforts of our team. Karlyn Leth exemplifies this commitment with her ongoing education and application of what she learned in this program and with WAI. We look forward to seeing what Karlyn does next.
