Dayton, OH. (November 22, 2024) – PremierMRO in Dayton, Ohio announced a new dealer relationship with Collins Aerospace, bringing new capabilities for old instrument panels. This latest OEM relationship reinforces Premier’s position as a major one-stop-shop MRO in the Upper Midwest. The facility can conduct flight deck modernizations for most popular aircraft brands, and at the same time inspect and upgrade engines, refurbish interiors, and repaint aircraft.

“Since acquiring the Dayton facility from previous owners just one year ago, we have expanded capabilities to better serve customers, while retaining a long-tenured and deeply experienced technical staff, especially in the area of avionics,” said Premier CEO Josh Birmingham. “I’m proud to say, we’ve created a vital hub for the full gamut of aircraft services, including mobile AOG response in the Upper Midwest.”

Collins Aerospace FUSION and more

Premier can perform FUSION full flight deck upgrades for King Airs and Cessna Citations, and also implement modernization bulletins for the widely used Proline 21 system. It can install Collins Aerospace 5G resistant radar altimeters and perform work under the Collins Avionics Service Plan (CASP).

Pilot feedback on the FUSION flat panel displays has been extremely positive. The new system brings intuitive touch screen technology to the flight deck, simplifying tasks, and reducing keyboard data entry. Pilots can insert reroute fixes simply buy touching new waypoints on the MDF, for example.

The system makes it easy to pull up approach plate on the PFD. It includes synthetic vision and supports LPV and RNP approaches. In short, it adds a lot of capability to aircraft with older panels.
